My pod vases are inspired by seed pods and flower bulbs. Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arranging, which aims to bring out the inner qualities of flowers and express emotion. These vases can go everywhere, even your office desk as they are small and stable based. They allow for a creative arrangement with just a few stems, even a single sprig from your garden.
Each vase has a floral frog pin holder permanently attached in the bottom to hold your flowers in place. This vase is altered, wheel-thrown porcelain. Many have added texture pattern that highlights the form and glazes. Others are faceted by carving. High Fired in a salt kiln to about 2350*.
