Porcelain pendant with drawing and glaze painting was fired to 2350 degrees Fahrenheit in a salt kiln. Back is glazed in a khaki yellow-green. Sterling silver findings. The cable necklace is optional. Use your own chain if you wish. 1" x 1.5"
Each pendant is one of a kind. I choose artful sections of larger porcelain shards, then finish them with diamond grinding tools to pleasing shapes. I smooth and slightly bevel the edges till they feel silky like beach glass.
Salt firing lends many surprises and creates depth in the designs and glaze surface. Porcelain is the densest of clays. The designs will never fade or change with age.
